 We employ approximately 20 local people. We stock Oregon, Cedar, Baltic, Cypress, Tasmanian Oak, Pine, Treated Pine, Macrocarpa, Kauri Pine, Hoop Pine and minor species. Timber World supplies timber to builders, owner builders, renovators, schools, colleges and businesses in Tasmania.

Timber World offers a wide range of quality products at extremely competitive prices and we pride ourselves on our high level of customer service. From small amounts of timber to house lots, we can supply all your timber needs and can arrange delivery. Our crane trucks are used for delivery and are also available for hourly hire to cart your own items and materials if required.

Timber World can also custom machine your own timber if you wish to have it run into lining, flooring, architrave, skirting, dado or other specialised mouldings at very reasonable rates. There has been an upsurge in demand for custom machining as builders and renovators find out about this valuable service.

 Portable Cabins are now being manufactured at Timber World. Portable Cabins are popular with customers for various uses, including the small business needing more office space, self contained guest accommodation for the tourism industry and even extra bedroom space for the growing family.

Timber World is committed to using softwoods and plantation timber and does not support the importing of rain forest timber from countries with dubious forest management and poor human rights practices. Timber World is helping to promote the plantation softwood industry from existing plantations only. We do not support the expansion of multinational investment plantations which are currently destroying rural communities and Tasmania's beautiful natural and heritage landscapes.
